Morphora Art

Welcome

I’m Sahlan, an artist trained in architecture, believing in the quiet strength of simple forms.

Through clean lines and geometric compositions, I create visual spaces for stillness on your walls, your screen, and pages that accompany your mindful moments.

About Me & My Art

I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember. As a child and teenager, I loved sketching everything from video game characters to superheroes, animals, trees, and vehicles. Most of the time, I drew in a realistic style, while other times I leaned into cartoon or manga influences. I was confident in shading with pencils and pens, but coloring always felt more elusive, maybe because I never had the right tools. Still, drawing was something that came naturally, and I kept at it.

When I began studying architecture, my focus shifted toward spaces, buildings, and design. I started working with a local engineering consultancy during my second year, and over time, drawing became part of my professional life as much as my creative one. Later, I pursued a master’s degree focused on efficient use of resources in architecture and planning, where my perspective expanded even more, toward sustainability, efficiency, and simplicity.

My path into geometric art began unexpectedly, with a dotted notebook I received at a workshop. I started connecting the dots to form animals; a wolf, a fox, an owl, a bear, and somehow it strangely felt like I was in an easy mode while also being curious and mindful of what objects I wanted to create. I didn’t use color yet, just filled the shapes with lines, like a kind of meditative line-work.

Everything changed when I got an iPad. That’s when I began exploring color and digital techniques, studying how other artists approached low-poly styles. Bit by bit, I refined my own. Now, I create minimalist geometric art using only solid colors and straight lines, constructing bold yet balanced forms, i.e., triangles, that bring together my love for simplicity, structure, and visual calm.

In many ways, becoming an artist isn’t a new chapter, it’s a return. A return to something I’ve always loved, long before architecture entered my life, about 20 years ago. Creating art the way I do now feels so intuitive, so natural, like I’m simply following a rhythm I’ve always known.

The first series I released in this geometric journey features insects for a reason; a tribute to their delicate structure, unique forms, and symbolic meaning. They represent transformation and quiet strength, which feels fitting for this season of my life; shifting from architecture to art, and in some ways, simply coming home.
